What is the best way to prepare Alaskan king crab legs?

i've baked them in the oven for 15 minutes that seemed to work out. boiling them for 5 minutes shrinks the meat in my opinion. any help will be appreciated.|||Personally I prefer them grilled - cook on the grill at low to med-low heat for 3-4 minuets each side and then serve with drawn butter or infused olive oil- I have even used the meat to make the best Sushi. Enjoy!|||Steam them.

When you shrink meat, that's a *good* think. That's what happens when you turn pork into a ham, or when you brine meat. You end up with less meat - but oh, so much better.|||Alaskan King Crab Royal

Ingredients

1 lb Alaska King Crab, split crab legs

1/4 cup Butter or Margarine, melted

1 Tbsp Lemon Juice

2 tsp grated Onion

1 Tbsp finely chopped Parsley

1/4 tsp Tarragon, crushed

dash bottled Hot Pepper

Directions

Cut crab legs into 2-1/2 to 3 inch pieces. If desired, remove crab meat from shells and cut into bite-sized pieces for easier serving; return to shells. Combine remaining ingredients and brush over crab. Place crab legs, shell-side down, on broiler pan. Broil 3 to 5 inches from heat 3 to 4 minutes; brush occasionally with sauce. Makes 2 main-dish servings or appetizer servings. Recipe can be doubled.

Grilling Method: Prepare Alaska King crab legs as directed above. Place crab legs, shell-side down, on rack about 5 inches above hot coals. Grill 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated; brush occasionally with sauce.|||i always steam crab legs.|||i make them in my restaurant all the time...place legs in a zip-lock bag with butter and old bay seasoning....microwave for 2-3 minutes...voila!!..no wasted time boiling water and all the flavors stay in the shell....bon appetit!!!|||grill em over a meduim hot grill turning often, just enough to warm them up. I saw Alton brown wrap em in damp paper towels and microwave for a few mins. havent tried it.
