What is the difference between snow crab legs and king crab legs?

Snow crab have smaller, shorter legs and the meat is very sweet tasting. These are the kind Red Lobster featured in their all you can eat Crabby Mondays campaign. (My personal favorite.)

King crab are the long legged, lanky ones. They taste somewhat more briny (salty), like the cool clear taste of the Alaskan seas where they are harvested.

There are also soft-shelled, or Blue crabs, found in the mid-Atlantic area (Delaware, Washington) which are cooked and served whole.

I know there are other varieties, but these three are the ones I'm personally acquainted with.

Cheers|||king crab legs are much bigger, and tastier...they have a different taste to them that is hard to describe!|||king crab is large long legged and spinney snow crab (aka. queen crab) is much smaller and has a shape like moast other crabs personally i prefer the snow crab but given a choice the dongonous crab is best though|||The amount of meat that you take out of the thing

snow crabs are mostly shell while king are mostly meat.
