What wine to accompany Alaskan king crab legs and a light basic oil, lemon, basil spaghetti?

Price range is under $50, preferably under $30.|||I agree that a nice sauvignon blanc would pair well with your meal. I also recommend Folie a Deux white table wine. You can buy it for under $15. Another good blend is Conundrum white table wine which usually sells for about $30.|||I persoanlly would drink Pinot Grigio, it pairs well with both pasta and seafood! Cheers!|||A good dry Chablis...stay with the whites for your menu!|||A good quality Sauvignon Blanc would be wonderful, and it will be within your price range. If you want to spend a bit more, a nice white bordeaux would be great, also.|||I think a sauvignon blanc would go nicely or a nice Spanich Albariċ¸½o.|||Wow!





I would highly suggest a high price Chardonnay. This meal calls for something buttery and creamy, so Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are two best wines for this. Given the addition of spaghetti with the listed ingredient, I would prefer something not as sweet, so Chardonnay would be my preferred choice over Sauvignon Blanc in this case.





When it comes to Chardonnay, there are plenty of choice. Sadly, many are not made well. The best ones are top of the line California Chardonnay if you prefer something more creamy and buttery with somewhat acidic. French also make good Chardonnay, but theirs tend to be more minerally and dry. I would rather avoid the cheaper Chardonnay because they tend to be oaky and acidic.





I would recommend Far Niente Chardonnay ($50), Kistler Chardonnay ($55), Pride Chardonnay ($40), Jordan Chardonnay ($35), Chateau Montelena Chardonnay ($35), or Frank Family Chardonnay ($30). Seriously, if you can afford a dinner with Alaskan King Crab, you can afford something in $30-55 range, since they will offer a much higher quality wine. If you have to go cheaper, Estancia Chardonnay ($10) and Clos Du val ($20) are acceptable.
